OCCUPATIONAL CLASSROOM TRAINING
Monies are available to assist those Workforce Investment Act (WIA) eligible candidates who are interested in furthering their education in order to increase their marketability in the labor market. Programs range from working towards GED attainment, to industry-specified occupational classroom training to two (2) year Degree Programs. Information regarding available grants within Ohio is also available through the Employment and Training Department. Training must be in a high demand occupation. All interested applicants must first apply for all grants prior to Workforce Investment Act assistance. All Educational Institutions must have completed and received approval via State Certification Process prior to being utilized.
