Information and Referral Services

A major function to the Social Service department is to provide information and referrals to area residents when direct service is unavailable. An adult household member may contact the Social Service department to discuss the problem or need. The intake worker will inform the customer of existing human service agencies and assist in determining the best possible way of meeting their immediate needs. The household will also receive referrals to existing agency programs that are available.
